We love learning about your favorite things and sharing ours with you! So many of the outdoors items that we use on a regular basis, as well as the place we frequent, come from the conversations with other outdoorsmen in our community.
This page is a place for us to share our favorite things with you. If you have suggestions, we’d love to hear them. Be sure to connect with us on Facebook or Twitter.

EDC (every day carry)
- Read the post: 10 EDC tools for around $10 or less.
- Gerber Remix folding clip knife – This is the one I carry and recommend for budget buyers.
- Keychain screwdriver – read the post about keychain screwdrivers.
- Money clip pocket knife – read the post about money clip pocket knives.
- SOG key knife – ultracompact and stealthy EDC blade.
Fishing
- Shimano quick fire spinning reels – available on several models and price-points. Allows one-handed operation of a spin-cast reel. Read more about the Spirex model.
<!--
- Little Cleo spoons – our favorite lures for pike. We’ve caught big northern on even the small, 1/4 ounce spoons, though we usually fish 1/2 to 1 ounce spoons.
Camping
- luminAID Packlite Max USB Solar Lantern – a fantastic option to replace messy and dangerous fuel lanterns. Read my review.
- Coleman adult sleeping bag – a basic, all-purpose sleeping bag for most camping occasions.
- Family size tent – unless you are going backcountry, a tent with plenty of room is so much better.
- Coleman camp stove – the classic camp stove without unnecessary frills.
- Pop-up shade canopy/shelter – These allow you to stay out of the hot sun and ride out rain showers without having to crawl in the tent or vehicle.
