Many states offer free fishing days in June in conjunction with National Fishing and Boating Week (June 2-10, 2018). In fact, it is the most likely month that your state offers some sort of free fishing opportunity!

When finding information about your state’s free fishing day(s), there are a few things of which to be aware.

  • The rules vary by state so be sure to check the details for your state.
  • In some states it only applies to residents, in others to non-residents as well.
  • States with both inland (fresh) water and salt water have more complicated rules.
  • The states that aren’t linked below means we found information but couldn’t verify it.

Don’t see your state listed? Don’t worry. It’s probably has a free fishing day later in the year.
